The International Opticians’ Association (IOA) has officially opened entries for the Silmo IOA International Optician of the Year Award.
As well as being a QDO, entrants also need to exhibit qualities such as communication skills, client care, entrepreneurial spirit, specialisations and a high level of engagement with the industry and charities.
The IOA explained that members. country members and industry partners will be able to send nominations until May 31st 2022.
Nominees will be asked to complete a case study which will then be examined by a panel of industry experts. The winner revealed at the Silmo Optical Fair’s (September 23-26) awards in Paris, France.
IOA president, Fiona Anderson, said: ‘We are looking forward to reading entries from outstanding opticians from around the world, and are thrilled to be returning to Silmo in September to announce the winner.’
