I’m currently seeking an experienced Dispensing Optician to join an independent opticians in Ashtead. You will be a key part of the team and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about eye care and wants to be a part of a new and exciting opticians that is in its growth period.
Location: Kingston
Salary: Up to £35,000
Working hours: Full time, no Sunday or Monday
– Must have at a minimum experience of 3-years working in an optician.
– Must have completed the Dispensing Optician Course and be GOC registered.
– Must be able to dispense to all levels.
– Working 5-days a week, with short Saturdays, NO Sundays and NO Mondays.

This optician is an independent, eye care practice based in the Kingston area.
The owners take pride in delivering high-quality eye care services and excellent customer service to the local community. The practice has 1-testing room and 1 contact lens teach room.
Working Hours: Tuesday – Friday 9:30am – 5:30pm, Saturday 9:30am – 3:30pm.
As the Dispensing Optician for an established independent optician, you will play a crucial role in shaping the Patient experience, operations, and success of the business. You will build and lead the dispensing team, ensuring high standards of care, while also contributing to business growth and local community engagement. Your expertise in dispensing eyewear and your passion for Patient service will be key to building a loyal Patient base.

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician
– GOC Registered: Must be registered with the General Optical Council as a qualified Dispensing Optician.
– Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a dispensing optician, with proven leadership and management experience.
– Patient Service: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on creating lasting relationships with Patients.
– Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of optical products, advanced dispensing techniques, lens option and familiarity with advanced optical technology and software.
– Entrepreneurial Spirit: Ability to contribute to business growth and engage with the local community to build the practice’s reputation.
