YOU MUST BE A QUALIFIED OPTOMETRIST REGISTERED ON THE GOC.
My client has a number of practices across the West Midlands and has built up a strong relationship with the local communities and is now looking to further enhance his team in this practice with a 2-3 day Optometrist.
This is a 2-3 day (Tuesday & Saturday + 1 other) opportunity with a growing group with this practice in prime location with strong footfall and surrounded by all the major local shops and amenities and as such there is a good flow of custom. They are servicing both private and NHS clients and offering a good range of lenses and frames to suit all budgets. They now require a GOC registered optometrist to test to 20/25 minutes and comfortable doing contact lens work. The practice has Phoropter Head, Trial Frames and Pulsair Tonometer within the test room and they operate a paper record system at present.
Responsibilities of the Optometrist
The role will be delivering eye tests to a high standard with some contact lens work undertaken. You will be expected to make recommendations to patients who will then be passed on to the support team.
You will be flexible with working patterns as there is some weekend working on a rota basis.
Requirements of the Optometrist
You will be GOC registered and full CET accredited and happy to test to 20/25 minutes and have sound clinical skills and strong commercial awareness.
They are open to any levels of experience as it is more about your commercial awareness and clinical skills. You will have a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Optometrist
For your skills and input my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £50,000 basic with a good benefits package to enhance your earnings potential and professional fees paid. You will also have the opportunity for ongoing personal development.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.
