My clients are one of the most recognisable opticians in the UK being established for over 75 years with over 150 practices and still growing. They now require an optometrist to work in one of their practices. You will become an integral part of the future of the company and take an active interest in upholding their reputation for quality of service and products on offer and their aim is to go from strength to strength in the coming years.
The role is working 2 days per week to include 2 Saturdays per month in the area within a team of 4-6 with an experienced practice manager in place.
The company has a very good local reputation for offering excellent service and high end dispensing.
This is a single test room practice with a loyal client base and can get very busy.
Responsibilities of the Optometrist
You will conduct 25 minute tests as well as completing contact lens fittings and aftercares. You will be on hand to offer clinical advice and help patients to choose the best options for their needs. As this is an independent practice a dynamic and flexible approach to your work is required as everybody helps in all areas of the practice.
Requirements of the optometrist
To apply for this position you must a fully qualified, GOC registered optometrist who is up to date with all CET requirements. You will be able to work 2 Saturdays per month with no Sunday or late night requirements. You will ideally have at least 1 years of post qualification experience although for the right person they could consider someone newly qualified and you will be comfortable working as the sole optometrist in a practice. As well as this you will have a friendly professional disposition, be well presented and have an excellent chair side manner.
Compensation for the optometrist
They are offering a basic salary up to £44,000 + additional benefits. You will also have the opportunity to work within a relaxed and flexible atmosphere.
