A high-end independent with a great team in place is looking to add a career-minded Optical Assistant to be a part of their team.
Optical Assistant Position
This is a full-time position working 5 out of 6 days Monday – Saturday 0900 – 1730.
This company is a very well established and busy independent store situated on a busy high street in a bustling NW London location.
This company has a very diverse and varied demographic including film stars and high-end professionals as well as NHS patients.
They have a large range of frames to suit all budgets and they operate the best deal for everybody policy.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
As with the majority of independent companies staff within this company help in all areas of the practice. You will be required to make sales and dispense spectacles, undertake admin and reception tasks as well as booking appointments and diary management.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
Optical experience is required for this position and a good understanding of what it takes to ensure an optician runs smoothly. You will be able to dispense and ideally pre-screen as well as being a well-organised person with strong reception and admin skills. On top of this, you will be a friendly people person who is passionate about your work. You will be punctual with a good record of attendance. My client is looking for people who want a career within optics and to progress either into management or onto professional qualification courses in the future.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
A competitive salary of £18,500 – £22,000 is on offer as well as an achievable bonus scheme worth roughly £2,500 per annum. You will have a salary review every year with the possibility of a pay increase. This company is friendly and a relaxed atmosphere to work in. The staff are friendly and socialise outside of work. They have a work hard play hard culture with nights out etc.
