Optical Assistant Position
A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer-focused Optical Assistant to join a growing practice in Newcastle Upon Tyne. They are looking for someone who gels with the existing team and is prepared to go above and beyond for both patients and colleagues. You must have a real passion for optics with a bubbly and exciting personality.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on their options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice. Their aim is to continually improve the quality of services offered to their customers through staff training.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
My client is looking for applicants with previous optical experience and the ability to dispense glasses to all levels. You will have a friendly and personable demeanour with a strong personal work ethic. It’s essential you have a customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
For your efforts, a competitive salary of up to £21,000 is on offer depednant on experience. You will need to be flexible to work weekends. They will look at both full time and part time.
