Optical Assistant Position
An opportunity has just become available for a customer focused Optical Assistant on a full time, permanent basis within a small sized practice with a team of -6 in a very busy location.
This practice operates as an independent practice just with a big name above the door. They stock a higher end range of frames and offer additional services to their customers.
This practice is very well appointed and boasts a prime location on a busy footfall area with lots of shopping options for customers and has a large and loyal customer base made up of a mix of private patients and NHS.
They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of care possible and they have a very good local reputation for excellence in customer care.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
At least 2 years’ experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within a similar practice. The ability to dispense to all levels. A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
For your efforts, a competitive salary of £17,500 – £18,500, DOE, is on offer along with a strong bonus scheme (OTE of £21,000 achievable in normal circumstances) and additional benefits. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and potential progression for the right candidate and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
