My client is a chain of opticians, who have been established for 75 years with over 150 practices across the UK. They are constantly expanding through organic growth and acquisition, they are now recruiting for a quality driven Optical Assistant due to internal movement.
As an Optical Assistant you will spend your time on various aspects of meeting your customer’s needs precisely and competently. The company are renowned for promoting from within, so if you are keen to get your foot on the management ladder then this would be the ideal role for you.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
You will work within a busy practice in an all around role. You will be helping patients with all their eye and hearing care needs, including contact lenses, designer frames, NHS eye care and hearing health checks. You will be dispensing spectacles and making sales as well as undertaking pre-screening, contact lens teaches and associated admin work.
Requirements for the Optical Assistant
You will need a minimum of 1 years experience as an Optical Assistant and it’s essential you can dispense spectacles to all levels. You will be pre-screening patients, delivering contact lens teaches and will be very focussed on delivering the highest levels of customer service.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
On offer for the right person is a competitive salary as well as the opportunity to further your career for the right candidate into management. You will have 28 days holiday. You will work 9:00 – 5:00pm and NO Sunday’s.
