Experienced Qualified Optometrist (Contact Lens Specialist) – Birmingham
Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE (pro rota)
Hours: Part and full time available
Focus: Clinical role – Must be proficient in contact lenses, especially Scleral and Semi Scleral. Must be confident with high prescriptions and corneal issues.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years after pre-reg

The Role: We are looking for an experienced Optometrist with a specialism in contact lenses. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in fitting and managing complex lenses, including Scleral and Semi-Scleral lenses, and confident in handling high prescriptions and corneal conditions.
- Test Time: Up to 1.5 hours (pre-screening completed)
- Dispensing: Not required
- Equipment: Latest clinical technology, trial frames, phoropter
- Working Hours: 3-5 days per week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
- Saturdays Required: Yes
- Training & Development: IP training and other clinical advancements available
Package & Benefits:
- Salary: Up to £60,000 for the right candidate

Ideal Candidate:
- Highly skilled in contact lenses, particularly Scleral and Semi-Scleral
- Comfortable managing high prescriptions and corneal issues
- Personable, patient-oriented, and adaptable to client needs
- Flexible, as patients may travel long distances for appointments
- Previous experience working in or near a city centre is preferred
