Community leaders helped to officially open a new Newmedica eye clinic and surgery centre in Norwich. Councillor Roger Foulger, chairman of Broadland District Council, and Dame Mary Perkins, co-founder of Specsavers, attending the event.
The clinic has seen patients since November 2021, however the official launch was delayed due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Operations director at the Newmedica clinic, Norwich said: ‘I’d like to thank our team for making our patients feel so welcome and special from day one. All of our consultant ophthalmology partners live locally and are available for any post-operative care needed by our patients. They all have strong links with the NHS in the county.’
Further adding ‘We look forward to welcoming lots more patients from the West Norfolk, Central Norfolk and Great Yarmouth and Waveney areas through our doors in the coming months and years.’
