Nicola Aubrey, a kind hearted Ludlow optician will be saying goodbye to her lovely long blonde locks to raise funds for a great charity.
Nicola, an optometrist and store director at Specsavers in Ludlow, will be giving her locks the chop, with the help of local hair salon No 10 Hair, so help can be given to Hope House Children’s Hospice and Brain Tumour Research.
Her hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs and hair pieces for children who suffer hair loss due to cancer treatment.
The whole store have been busy supporting the two causes over the recent months and have raised more than £400, but there is still a great opportunity to show your support as they are looking for sponsors to help boost this total further. Nicola is also happy for other members of the community to join her on the day for what is a very worthy cause.
“These two charities are very close to our hearts, so we pledged to raise £5k in total by the end of August” says Nicola. “I’ve had long hair for a while now, so I’m sure it will feel very different when I lose the 12 inches they’ll cut off but I know it will be worth it especially if lots of people come forward and sponsor me – please!”
