This is a full-time position working for a very well established independent practice
Responsibilities of the Dispensing Optician
There are a number of responsibilities you will have as a Dispensing Optician, let’s take a look:

You must be able to dispense spectacles across all levels.

You must be able to conduct pre-screening tests and contact lens fittings.
-
You must be able to carry out frame styling to all customers at the practice.
-
You must be able to offer advice to patients at the practice based on their eye-care needs.

You must be able to assist your team in other areas of the practice from working as part of reception on the front desk, or carrying out general admin.
Requirements of the Dispensing Optician
To work well in this position, the successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

You must be have an extensive knowledge of each level in dispensing.

You must be have very good problem solving skills and be aware of higher prescriptions in the optical sector.

You must be commercially aware of the latest eye-care products and contribute ideas that can potentially grow the business.

You must have a strong passion to deliver the highest degree of customer service coupled with a strong work ethic and positive team spirit.

You must have clear communication skills and precise attention to detail when approaching your work.
