A very exciting opportunity has become available for a Qualified Optical Practice Manager on a full time, permanent basis in the St Albans area. We are currently recruiting for a very well established optical independent chain. This is a great opportunity for experienced Qualified Dispensing Optician to progress into management and work within a small but busy practice but still work at a relaxed daily pace.
This practice is situated in a busy high street and has a large and loyal customer base. They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of care possible and they have a very good local reputation for excellence in customer care.
Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager
Throughout this role you will be expected to;

Manage the practice daily

Support a small team and dispense spectacles

Conduct pre-screen tests and contact lens

Carry out frame styling, and advice patients of their options

Work on reception on occasion and complete admin work
These may change day-by-day however your store manager will tell you if there are any changes.
Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager
If you are interested in this role, there are some things that we need to know about you first
You will need to have at least 2 years previous experience as a Qualified Dispensing Optician in a busy practice
You will need to be able to dispense at all levels, as well as commercially savvy in your abilities
You will need to have a friendly, approachable demeanour coupled with a strong work ethic.
You will need to have a customer driven approach to your work, and be able to develop a close relationship with customers and work colleagues.

In exchange for your hard-work, our client is prepared to offer a salary of up to £30,000.

You will be granted holiday leave and national bank holidays and are allowed 1 day off a week, with very social hours included Mon-Sat.
