I have just been informed of a new opportunity that has just become available for an Optical Practice Manager to manage 2 practices in the area.
My client is a franchise of one of the biggest names in optics and are well established with a loyal and growing customer database, the main practice has been going over 7 years and are now looking for a manager with a proven track record in optics to help drive the business further while providing an excellent level of patient care.
You will be working with a small team between the 2 practices and you will be expected to manage the team, working towards targets and offering any support to fellow colleagues while also still being heavily involved with the dispensing and day to day running of the practice.
Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager
You will work within a busy practice in an all-around role. You will be helping patients with all their optical needs, including contact lenses, designer frames, NHS eye care and hearing health checks. You will be dispensing spectacles and making sales as well as undertaking pre-screening, contact lens teaches and associated admin work.
You will be working in a team of 3-4 and be able to support and motivate the team working towards targets and KPI’s.
Requirements for the Optical Practice Manager
You will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Manager in optics and it’s essential you can dispense spectacles to all levels. You will be pre-screening patients, delivering contact lens teaches and will be very focussed on delivering the highest levels of customer service.
Ideally some level of management experience either as team leader/ supervisor or higher.
Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager
On offer for the right person is a competitive salary of up to £27,000 as well as company benefits and the opportunity to further your career.
You will have 28 days’ holiday. NO Sundays
Working hours are 9-5:30
